These short audio clips are here to show that once a player understands how music works, the style you play becomes irrelevant. It's all about understanding the relationships between chords and scales. The rest is mostly the feel you give to your playing. If you want to be a Rock player listen to and emulate the way Rock players sound. The same goes for any other genre of music. My particular style is some combination of Jazz, Rock and maybe on occasion Blues or R&B. It may change a little each day or each song depending on what I want to hear at a particular moment. I also like to hear more melodic playing instead of a lot of flash. But this is simply personal choice. Your style is completely up to you.
